Recap (Sep 28 2009): Hockey with Stefan and the MBA team

One of my best friends from the MBA program is Stefan from Germany. We got to know each other early with several mutual interest in sports, including the desire to play hockey with the other MBA students.

Stefan a noble man talked only about his skills in small woods, however, when we finally got on the ice it was obvious that he had played for years. Me, well my fourth time on skates ever was not pretty.

It was at an open ice practice that Stefan and I went to, where I practiced breaking and turning right, while Stefan was flying around the ice getting back in to his old rhythm.

Stefan succeed in finding his own rhythm, while I was still struggling. Nevertheless, we went to the several practices and played a lot of scrimmage. It was one of my best experiences and I miss it a lot. Here are some photos from my time on the ice:

Ready for the first time on the ice playing hockey...
Stefan is ready to be back on the ice..
Yeah - we got our own shirts with number and names for the last practice...
Notice my pads - the smallest one on the team - yeah - Superman can't get hurt....
