Today I and the Star Studded team won the Flag Football Championship at UBC. It was a great game and a close one during the first half but in the second half we took control of the game and left no doubt about who was the best team in the league.
On defense I continued to blitz and had 4 batted passes, one of which was intercepted. It gave the cornerbacks and safeties an opportunity to jump the routs more, since they knew there would be no time for the Quarterback to do a pump fake and go deep on a second move from the receiver.
On offense I didn't really get involved before in the second half, but then I also put the game out of reach with Ryan's perfect play calling and two perfect throws. First I scored on a 10 yard corner where I just got two feet in. Then to seal the victory where we almost could have run down the clock, Ryan told me to do a stop and go from the slot position, and when I had half a yard seperation from the man covering me I could see the ball coming over my head perfectly so that I could catch it and sprint in for the score.
Prior to my two touchdowns the offense had already been doing very well with Ryan delivering the ball perfect and the other Ryan and Ed making some great touchdowns.
The win was a total team effort and I am glad I was able to contribute to the teams champion ship.
