My mother received an honor medal from the Queen of Denmark

My mother has recently just retired after working for SAS in 44 years. SAS had therefore nominated her to the highest honor medal that can be given to civilians due to faithful and loyal commitment to the company.

It is a custom that a recipient visits the Queen to show his or her gratitude and respect. My mother was therefore at Christian Borg yesterday to do that.

Before the Queen arrived the soldiers were securing the premises and looking mighty fine.

Here comes Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, in her Bently of course – no real horses today.

My mother in the white shirt is waiting to meet the Queen, next to her is her former colleague Annette, whom also received the Honor Medal.

Finally, after waiting for three hours to talk with Queen in 1 minute, my mother has now officially done her duty, and can now relax and enjoy her retirement.
